Dear BWers,
Do infospokes support delta mechanism for master data? Please help with any documentation/links on this if possible.
Thanks
Raj

Oscar,
I was under the impression that with infospokes we can use the delta mechanism for spitting out transaction data. Please correct me if i am wrong. i wanted to know if it can do the same for master data?
Thanks
Raj

Hi,
For infospokes, the delta mechanism is only activated for ODS and Cubes which works on change logs and requests. So, in theory you won't be able to do a delta just for Master data even though you can pull data from a Master data datasource.
You can add a step after the extraction to filter out the Master data (either in the table or the flat file, before its sent to the destination) and simulate a Master data delta outside the infospoke using ABAP code or try using a BADI within the infospoke itself to simulate a delta and filter out the data you want in terms of Master Data.
Cheers,
Kedar
Kedar, Thanks a lot.

What do yuo mean with master data? a characteristic?
I don't think so, infospoke reads the infosource but is not an extractor, and characteristic does not aloud delta extraction as datasource.
