naming a file sent to the application server

Hi All

I am uploading a file onto the application server using datasets from SAP.Now I have to name the file which ig being placed there in a amanner so that it contains date when the file is being placed.Like for example:

today : the file name should be 08.29.2006_file1.dat

tommorrow : the file name should be 08.30.2006_file2.dat

How to achieve this.Please advise..
