Favorite Folder explands automatically every time on Main Menu Screen. How to prevent this?

Every time I come to the main SAP Easy Access menu, the favorite folder expands automatically with all Tcodes in it. it is really annoying. How can we prevent this automatic expansion of favorite folder on SAP Easy Access menu.image.jpg

I changed the tags on your question somewhat. "Logging of SAP GUI for Windows" is not about managing SAPGUI, it's about... well, logging (not logging on, but collecting logs and traces). You were looking for "UI SAP GUI for Windows." Additionally, the PLM and EAM tags you had have nothing to do with this question, so I removed them. I did add "NetWeaver Application Server ABAP," however, as this also can relate at a Basis level to the ABAP platform.

You can do this in setting.

On top toolbar go to "Extras>Settings" OR press "Shift+F9". The settings window will pop up. Just untick the last option "Show First Level" (Blue circled in below image) and you are done!! 🙂

I had this same problem and just created a 2nd folder to hold all my favorites (I also called it Favorites). It will annoy anyone who's slightly OCD but at least it doesn't expand as much

Apparently its hard-coded to automatically expand (see include LSMTR_NAVIGATIONF17 and form CONTROL_EXPAND_FAVOS_ROOT via SE38).

You may be able to do something with implicit enhancements.. Talk to your ABAP Team.

Can you share how we can debug SAP Easy Access screen.

I tried /h before launching /oS000 or /oSMEN or /o SESSION_MANAGER but in vain.

Dear All

The question is not about displaying favorites or not, its about that whenever I come to easy access menu, the favorite folder is displayed with expanded nodes, however the requirement is to have favorites folder in collapsed mode by default.

You could choose to display Favorites at end of list from Menu > Extras > Settings
