Customer field in SAP

Dear FICO Gurus

I request your expert advice about customer field in coding block. I have created customer field in S4 HANA based system.

Field is visible for entry in FB50/FB01, But I do not see this in logistics related screens like production order. It is not seen in cost centre master also. I want to capture data in this field in various transactions across FI, PP, MM etc.

I want to understand - Just like Profit centre, Business area Will customer field be visible in all places across system ? My query is to understand what is exact impact of creating customer field in coding block ?

Ok.

We are unable to activate MSEG structure again. After adding customer field, we are getting ABAP Dump. Do you know how to restore MESG back to normal after adding customer field ?

Do we need to extend views or do something like that ? Has someone experienced challenge after creating customer field in S4 HANA ?

Hi,

Adding a custom field in BSEG structure will have an impact on FI documents and affiliated objects only.You won't have it in purchase order, for example.

I am able to see this custom field in MIGO screen also.

But creating this custom field has impacted MSEG also. Now I am running into serious technical issues in activating MSEG. SAP is suggesting extending views etc for this purpose. Has someone experienced creating it in S4 HANA ?
