Marketing permission for names in personalized newsletter-mailings

Dear Community,

we’d like to use personalized salutation in our newsletter-mailings. Only if the customer has given his consent his/her name should be displayed.

Suppose the following example has two customer records:

  • 1st customer record: mail-address, first and last name but no marketing permission
  • 2nd customer record with mail-address, mail-permission and newsletter-subscription (no first and last name given)

The newsletter would now contain information (first and last name) that do not have a marketing authorization.

Is it possible to display the names only, if they are provided by a record with a valid marketing permission? If there is no persmission, a defaul salutation should be displayed.

Thank you!
Peter

    Greetngs Peter,

As far as I know this can be achieved by adding conditions to content of newsletter.

You should use marketing permissions as a condition to display "First Name" and "Last Name" attrbiutes in newsletter content.

I could provide you exact steps and share some screenshots however I currently don't have access to our own Hybris Marketing system.

    I hope this helps

    Dear Hakan,

    thanks for your reply.
Are there marketing permissions for "First Name" and "Last Name" available? I only know permissions (OPT-IN's) for Mail, Phone, Mobile and Postal.

How can we query if first and last name were provided with permission opt-in?

    thank you
    Peter
