I have a report with Text elements in english. When I logon in DE language the text elements are not identified.

I navigate to the text pool and do GOTO-TRANSLATION , It gives a message 'the object list is empty ' ? What does this message convey ? Do i need to use se63 and maintain text for each and every text element . This is a standard SAP Program aqd2pp==========i4============

for tcode zspq1.

are you able to see any texts available in TEXT ELEMENTS tab?

i guess,its empty.

or have to checked it after logged in DE ??

what you have to do for transalations is login in EN and goto that program then say TRANSLATION.

the way is Login in EN.

then menu->goto->TEXT elements->TEXT SYMBOLS.

then menu GOTO-> TRANSLATION.

then select Target Language DE.

then proceed further.

Hi ,

yeah , I navigated to the Text Pool from the program for zpq1 and there I see three tabs : Text Symbols ( has the text in en) , List headings and Selection texts .

They have a number of entries in them all in english .??

Thanks

hi,

if you follow the way i have given in earlier post, you can do the translations for both Text elements and SELECTION texts too.
