regarding business partner, central person and organizational unit relation

Hi experts,

i am implementing business package srm 5.0 in portal. But i need to have business partner, central person and organizational unit relationship to access the backend srm.

Can any one tell me what exact roles i need in the backend to access the business package iviews in portal and also do i need to configure any thing in backend (srm 5.0 ) for this set up.

i am the integrating srm into portal . But for business package i (srm user1 ) need to have business partner, central person and organizatipon unit to be assigned to the srm user1. I just want to know how to check whether user1 srm is assinged to all the 3 and also if not how to do that ?

Hi Rao,

Your user is right now a simple SU01 user.

You hyave to transform him into a SRM user. This can be done with users_gen transaction in your SRM server.

Users_gen transaction enable you to check one or multiple users to verify that they are correctly created and integrated into the organisational structure.

Hi,

Just to ellaborate:

in SRM for every entity business partner no is given by system.

When you create a user in SRM via SU01 (or distribute via CUA), no BP no or central person is created.

When you assign this user at desired org node (eg. dept)

that user is made as CP and a BP no. is given to him.

This can be done via SU01 or

'Manage user data' in SRM ADMIN webpage.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have access to the server till now that's why i couldn't check till now.

In Users_gen transaction only user check box is ticked. And also in Branch from organizational unit only central persons only radio box is ticked. Can you please tell me what exactly i need to select from this check boxes and radio buttons and do i need to configure any other items.

I think you almost solved my problem.
