Debugging

Hi, all!

Question: Is there any possibility to debug Java-Code (e. g. in EJBs) that is accessed from within ABAP via JCo RFC Provider Service (like vice versa via setting an external breakpoint)?

Regards,

Thomas

    Thomas,

    Yes, this is possible.

    1. Enable debug mode on WebAS Java using Config Tool

    2. Restart server.

    3. Create Remote Debug configuration in NW IDE specifying tghe very same debug port you defined with Config Tool.

    4. Debug project, set breakpoints where you need.

theres no easy way to do this..the best & easiest option could be application specific custom logging.

      Hi, Amol!

Thanks for your answer. I already assumed that this could not be achieved easily, but as continuous online-debugging between ABAP and Java is an "must have" for the objective application, I' m also satisfied with complicated solutions.

Could you perhaps let me have more infos about that?

      Regards,

      Thomas
