COPA Extraction

Hello Team,

We have created a COPA data source using KEB0, when we execute the same in RSA3 we get @ 16 records whereas there are around 1500 records which can be seen in KE24( Display Actual Line Items) transaction in R/3.

Also for the above 16 records, the characteristic vaues are not getting populated, we could see only the Key figures.

Can we know , what are we missing& where we are missing.

We have gone as per the SAP How to ..... document & SAP best Practice.

Hi Mohammad,

Dont worry ! COPA datasources behave this way in RSA3. Especially with a large number of characterisitcs and value fields as part of its extraction!!

What you get in BW is perfect. Follow the how to document and thats all is needed.

So let me repeat: in RSA3, COPA datasources show funny stuff and dont show the actual records

But one last thing: to validate what the DS has extracted into BW, go to CE1XXXX table in R/3 and do a record - record comparison with the cube...although your CE1XXXX table would have thousands of records and your cube has only 1500 records (due to aggregation)...do check at a company code level or some other field level in the table...BTW, in CE1XXXX the XXXX is the operating concern's name...
