Remove Languages in T002

Dear Community,

We have a requirement with our current client in north America where we need to only display certain Languages from T002 list on BP screen (where there are two fields - 1) Language and 2) Correspondence Language). To have only certain Lanuages displayed when user presses 'F4' (search help) on above mentioned fields, should we remove un-used Languages in table T002?

Wanted to check with you all to see if anyone had similar requirement in past and if so, how did you over come this requirement (Is it through removing entries in table T002 or using any enhancement points). Any help here is much appreciated.

It is not advisable at all to just remove a language key from T002 as this may result in inconsistencies and error messages for cases where this language was already in use. This language key is not only used for business partners. It is not advisable to do such change without consulting with all teams that work in your ERP system.

Contact Basis and they will change it according to your requirement.

I have follow-up questions.

1.When you say Basis team will do that, will they remove the Language Packages from system?

2. If we want to do ourselves (without involving Basis team) is it advisable to remove the entries directly from T002? Will it have any impacts if we remove the Laguage entries just from T002?

Hi,

why would you remove it ? As Jurgen said its not advisable . Consult with your SAP team.
