Message component in Design Studio

Hi

we use design studio 1.6 and some BPC embedded input schedules in crosstabs.

When we run some planning sequences, we would like to retrieve execution messages in the message component. We have the same requirement when we save data. In AO, each time we save data we have an information message saying that data has been saved.

Last thing we would like to achieve is to be able to display messages dynamically. Indeed, today we have to click on the message count popup before displaying messages

thanks for your help.

1) I went through this post but what I want to achieve is that as soon as I have an error message (or trigger an event), I want the message popup open (avoiding clicking on the count message popup). I tried with css but no success

2) I read this one as well in the past and I agree there is no possibility today for manipulating message class.

Hi Mat,

I see what you mean now with Point 1. Unfortunately I don't think there is any way to force the message list to popup whenever a new message is added.

Hi Mat,

There are a couple of posts that may be relevant to your scenario:

1) Modification of Design Studio Message Popup - this describes how you can modify the look of the standard message popup according to your requirements;

2) Raise alerts or messages after performing Onselect action based on return code? - It sounds like you want to be able to retrieve the return codes for planning functions so you can display dynamic messages accordingly. Unfortunately, I do not think this is possible apart from what is discussed in the post.
