after saving the changes there is Vendor Changes Overview which reflect all the changes done to that Vendor Number...

As per your suggestion I got the 'Change Document' box but I cant find how to add a new field in that.
Can u please elaborate more in this context?

The generated FM that creates the change documents (look at transaction SCDO for object KRED and perform some search in online help) only memorize change to fields where the data element flag is set.
If you want another field to be displayed, the flag must be set on the data element (and of course the value must be changed)
Someone already did that for field ZZ_PDPT in your system.

Thanks for your valuable feedback... Earlier I was not getting the point about the change document box, I was searching it there only in the XK02..After that I got it what u were trying to tell me.
When I went to SE11 and displayed the Data Element, there under Further Characteristics I found Change Document which was unchecked. After checking it worked fine.
