Multiple R/3 Systems and Design

We have 3 R/3 Systems. System 1, System 2, System 3 and they are all sending PO's to our Vendors.

How should I design the Above R/3 systems in SLD and also in Repository(Should I need to create one Software Component and underneath should I need to create 3 scenarios OR should I need to create 3 separate Software components? The adavantages and Disadvantages?) If there is any PDF that narrates the above scenario

Thanks

Hi,

You can have 3 Technical sys, 3 Business systems. You can either have 3 SWC or one SWC and assign tp all the 3 business sytems. Have would suggest u to have 1 SWC.

Thanks,

Prakash

hi,

>>>Have would suggest u to have 1 SWC.

why?

those 3 r3 systems can have completely different interfaces so why mix 3 different systems in

one SWC ?

only because they are from the same software provider ?

Hi Michal,

I was suggesting to have it in 1 SWCV coz the scenario is 1 that is Purchase Order but from different vendors.

Thanks,

Prakash

hi,

yes but if he will have some other interfaces ?

when designing XI landscape you shouldn't think

only about present needs I guess

anyway I'd go for approach 4th from Thorstens weblog

michal

hi,

you can use Thorsten's 4th approach

where every system has it's own component

have a look at it:
