Transfer Routine

I need to write a routine which will be used in the routine of the object.

In this routine I need to refer to the communication structure of 2LIS_03_BF and check the value of a field in the structure. How do I do this? For example

1) If the field (storage location) is blank

2)Then 2LIS_03_BF-Comm_structure-Special Stock Indicator is 'W' then the field which I am writing the routine to (Storage Location) is ‘W’
