F4 help key does not work in ESS on ITS in Portal

Hello All,

F4 help key is not working in all iviews in ESS in Portal.When i try to press it nothing happens and no pop up appears,kindly please suggest wt might be the cause of this error? Iam tired struggling with this issue and not able to trace out reason for the same.My Email Id is reachme.saumya@gmail.com .Plz revert at earliest.

Hi Somya,

did you put ~webtransactiontype EWT in the service file?

Please keep in mind, only fullscreen popups are supported in IACs/EWTs.

Hello Sabine,

No there is no ~webtransactiontype EWT defined in global.srv file ,it has to be defined or not?Wt might be the cause of error?

Hi,

You need to set _{POPUPS = 1 ,}WEBGUI_POPUPS = 1,~THEME = 99 and make sure that u do not have ~webtransaction type .

Hi Somya,

You can solve the problem by using Menu > help > Settings > F4 Help and changed the settings from System Defaults to Dialog(Modal).

It doesn't help still the same problem.I did this inWEB GUI.

Hi,

This kind of problem is known when webgui is being started from an IAC, e.g. HRWPC_FC_EXEC

You have to set parameter ~webgui_popups 1 in the service file of this IAC.

Hi,

Make sure that you have the right kernel for your service pack. SAP notes 919184 and 902694 tell you the required kernel patch level for SP 15 and SP 16.
