Hi,
I am using SAP B1 2004 2B.
this version is supported by sql server 2000. As this version is not avaliable in market i bought SQL server 2005. How can I degrade it to SQL server 2000.
Hello Everybody,
De grading SQL 2005 to SQL 2000 may be difficult but if you order SQL 2005 one can request sql 2000 from Microsoft. you can get Degrading CD (separate) or SQL 2000 CD which get activated on licence of SQL 2005. Note that SQL sever 2000 is not available in Market. One has to request it directly to Microsoft for it.

Hi Mayur,
I'm afraid degrading SQL Server 2005 it's very problematic and I do not recommend you to do it.
Kind regards

Hi Mayur,
Degrading sofeware is very hard and i don't think it is feasible to degrade SQL server 2005 to 2000.
Practically the SAP B1 2004 runs fine with SQL Server 2005, but SAP has not tested it deeply and announced that's no problem.

Hi Mayur,
Please check out if there exists the stored procedure named "TmSp_Installer_SetField Value" in:
SQL Enterprise manager->SQL Server Group->(local)->Databases->your database, such as "SBODemo_US"->Stored Procedure.
If there is not, you may reinstall your B1. That's an easy solution:)
Hope it helps,
Nick
Hi Mayur,
Creating three (!!!) topics on your same problem will NOT help you to get the answer quicker. Please read the /thread/117232 [original link is broken] for your future posts. If you really have a burning question, contact SAP support...
Concerning your question, SQL server 2005 is NOT supported by your SBO version. So it can NOT be installed. If you purchased SBO from SAP, they could provide you the correct SQL server version.
However, you should be able to buy a license for SQL server 2000 at Microsoft. It's still supported...
So you have two options; buy SBO 2005 SP01, or buy SQL server 2000.
Good luck,
Rowdy
