Hi,

I am running T Code TPM1 for valuation.

I followed below mentioned steps.

TS01 - Purchase of Shares 01 01 2017

TS04 - Settle Contract

TBB1 - Shares Purchase entry posted on 01 01 2017

TPM1 valuation Run - Valuation Date: 10.04.2017

FW17 - Maintain Market Prices for Same,

i am facing below issue.

Market exchange rate is being used instead of book exchange rate

Message no. VAL107

Diagnosis

The valuation step requires the foreign exchange book rate for the valuation key date. The system determines the foreign exchange book rate from the book values in position currency and valuation currency.

No foreign exchange book rate could be determined for this position since at least one of the book values is 0.

004 Security valuation

System Response

Instead of the foreign exchange book rate, the system uses the foreign exchange market rate on the valuation key date.

Kindly help me

Hi,

please have a look at the note
432576 - Valuation:book exchange rate, purchase exchnge rate set to 1

It describes why the message VAL107 is issued: the book exchange rate is zero due to the reason that book value or the purchase value is zero on the valuation date, then market exchagne rate would be used in this case.

Best regards,
Jasmine
