why I cannot see the connections?

Hi,

I installed the SAP GUI on my mac, I placed a connection file, which is in plain text format and with the extension of sap, sapc or none, into the SAP folder. But when I start my SAP application, I cannot see the connections there, I can only see a folder named JavaGUIServices there.

I then tried to configure it by adding a new connection, I put the parameter conn=XXXXXXXX(the service ip address and the port number) in the advanced expert mode area, but it doesn't work either.

Can anyone please tell me why I encountered this issue and why I cannot solve it in either way?

Thank you!

Hello,

I suggest to have a look at following chapters of the manual coming with the SAP GUI for Java installation (menu Help->SAP GUI Help)

  • 3.4.1 Providing Connections
  • 5.1.2 Configuration Files
  • 5.3.1 Connection String

and SAP UI Landscape Configuration Guide (Java)

Best regards
