Best Practices and Use of Collaboration Rooms

We are in limited distribution of Collaboration Rooms and was wondering if other companies have implemented this feature in the Portal and what were their best practices and lessons learned. We are currently running Netweaver 2004 for our Portal.

Until now, I have not seen a document speaking about best practices of Collaboration. Perhaps, you can read SAP methodology called ASAP from Portal.
