Script editor doubt

In script editor, am not getting allignment with tabs with the below code...

M3 TOTAL,,,,,,&DISC_SUM& &REGUH-RWBTR&

So I did like below and am getting output with correct allignment

M3 TOTAL,,,,,, &DISC_SUM& &REGUH-RWBTR&(space before &DISC_SUM& ).

Is it the right way to do ?

Because I sat for hours for allignment changing Tab setting values (first , second , third tabs)
