Hi
In our warehouse users have printed bar code for User ID and Password they are scanning them to log on to RF device instead of entering the password manually.
Is there any way to prevent users from scanning a password.
This serious violation as per our security norms
is this a SAP Problem? How do you prevent the people from writing the password on a post it and hiding it on the backside of their keyboard? If policies are violated then it becomes a task of the supervisor and the HR team

Hi Jugen,
I understand it is not a SAP problem but when policies are not controllable we need to work out for a solution at system level.
My idea of posting this question is to understand if there is any way to put some technical control at password field level so that it will only accept an entry with manual input but not the through a scanner reading.
looking for example into this discussion: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3448007 or that one https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3821871
it looks to me that logon by scanning a password barcode needs to be enabled and is not there by default, so you might want to investigate the history of the application internally
