XI 7.0 vs Xi 3.0

Hi,

I need to start a new project with over 150 interfaces using XI. I need to choose between using XI 3.0 Or Xi 7.0

what would be your pros & cons for using either version?

Hi,

It is better to go with PI (XI) 7.0 as it will be supported in future with nw2004S release

For new installation SAP recommends to use XI 7.0 only.

There is no difference in the XI functionality between XI 3.0 and 7.0.

I recommend you go 7.0.

In addition to the advantages mentioned before,

you have the option to enable more usage types

on the same installation.

Hi,

they have the same functionalities

(all are backported from 7.0 to 3.0 till SP19)

so from the functional point of view

there's no difference

but XI 7.0 will be supported for a longer time by the SAP
