Dear experts,
I installed Crystal Reports XI R2 Developer (version 11.5) under Windows 10 64-bit but a “Crystal Reports Runtime” message error is blocking the way as you can see below.
An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime.
Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly.
Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required. Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.
Where can I find the correct CRRedist*.msi file?
Kindly advise how to overcome this issue.
CR XI R2 is end of life, not available any more. It was never tested o n Windows 10.
Likely missing dependencies, Framework and/or MS VS 2005 C++ Security update MSI.
CR is application platform and not OS paltform, no such thing as 64 bit MSI in R2.
Update to the latest .NET SDK from here:
https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Crystal+Reports%2C+Developer+for+Visual+Studio+Downloads
Works with any version of VS 2010 -> 2015.
