showing a measure value with conditional formatting in GeoMap Component in SAP Design Studio 1.6

Hi Experts,

In Design Studio 1.6 SP3, as i know GeoMap components has the below functions:

(1) To display Points & Bubble with region name by some configuration, but i want to display the measure with some conditional formatting. For Example, i want to display the vacant car parking slots for a region with some conditional formatting to show the availability numbers. let's say Green means lot of available parking, Amber or Red for near full & full. How to deal with it?

(2) when the mouse move on a region, it will popup a tool tip to show the region name and the available measure details in some popup custom table format, can i achieve this in Design Studio & how?

Hi Pravanjan,

So as I now understand it, you want to use the standard Popup component to display the custom information related to a location. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no way to directly link the position of the Popup with the location on the Geo Map or with the cursor as you have suggested. Perhaps you could implement some complicated script code to use the location latitude/longitude co-ordinates to come up with margin values that can be set for the alignment of the Popup but I don't think it's worth jumping through such hoops.

Hi Pravanjan,

Regarding your points:

1) The GeoMap component does not have a concept of conditional formatting. However, what you could do is create a separate map layer for each condition colour, set a different Point or Bubble colour for each layer, then filter the data source for each layer according to your condition criteria and display the appropriate layers;

2) The standard tooltip already displays the dimension name and measure value. If you want to change the appearance you can investigate the CSS and apply custom CSS to override the standard appearance.

Maybe am not clear enough on my question. The real issue is am not able to align my Point layer with the Inventory details on GeoMap.

Here are the steps that i have done so far to achieve my objective :

1. Am trying to built a Design Studio 1.6 dashboard using GeoMap component.
2. On GeoMap am trying to create a Map Layer to point a specific Location on my map.
3. Once i achieve the specific location, then am trying to build a Popup to show the Location details on the GeoMap dashboard. For Example - Any measure data pertaining to the location dimension(here am trying to show the inventory details of my warehouse). Am able to create the popup component on the GeoMap. But, am not able to align the Popup to my Pointer on the Map. If my User clicks on any GeoMap point, then the Popup should open up with inventory details. Now on this Popup, i want to use conditional formatting to show up the inventory details of that location/Warehouse. Like Color-Red, if the stock is below threshold & Color-Green, if the stock is adequate quantity etc.

Problem/Issue: Can the popup on the map align to the pointer, so that once i click on the pointer the popup should open up close to the pointer. How can i achieve this requirement?
