Does the replication server also need a patch upgrade when database servers are patch upgraded.?

The servers are Adaptive Server Enterprise/15.7 SP122 on Sun server OS 5.10. There is a possible upgrade to SP132 in consideration.

Does the Replication server Replication Server/15.7.1 SP203 also require to be upgraded? It is also on a Sun server OS 5.10.If an upgrade is required, please provide further details.

Generally speaking there is no need to upgrade RS when you upgrade ASE ... unless you're looking to implement some new feature (ASE-based or RS-based) that requires a specific (minimum) version of software for the 2 products. If you're not having any replication problems with your current setup then you should be ok with an ASE upgrade (SP122 to SP132) without having to upgrade RS.

FWIW, I've worked at clients with all sorts of (working) combinations of RS 12.6/15.0/15.1/15.2/15.5/15.7.1 and ASE 12.5.4/15.0.x/15.5/15.7/16.0 (with the full understanding that some ASE-and-or-RS features may not be supported/available with some combinations).
