How to customize SAP Portal logs and traces ?

Hi,

I am on SAP EP 7.4 and we have a requirement to customize logs & traces in NWA. So the client wants the log to be little more elaborate rather than just sayin LOGIN.OK or LOGIN.FAILED .... some customized message in the logs saying basically why did authentication failed,..like is it because of credentials issue of account locked, etc.

As far I know this is not so easy task. Since it is a standard component and I would have to download the relevant .ear file from server and understand what to change and where to change.

Can I know if it is advisable to customize the logs of portal ?

hi Venkata,

you can get more logging info by changing severity level in NWA. the detail logs will be recorded when you checked the appropriate level.

it may helpful, can you check it once.
