JCA Adapter

Whats the role of an JCA Adapter?(When the custom made or 3rd party adapters are needs to be plugged into the server, I think we use the JDA adapter)

    JCA means Java Connector Architecture which is a part of J2EE. The XI Adapter framework uses this Architecture. If you want to develp your own Adapters take a look at Adapter and Module Development under Runtime -> Connectivity in SAP XI Help.

    Hi Rohini,

    "The adapters that you are developing for the Adapter Framework of SAP Exchange Infrastructure must be implemented as resource adapters of the Java Connector Architecture (JCA) 1.0."
