SAP ESS problems with new Firefox version 52.0

Hi experts,

We are facing problems within SAP ESS since Firefox update 52.0.

For example it is not possible to select absence types within CATS timesheet anymore.

I'm able to open the drop down list with relevant absence types but if you select one it will not appear in the timesheet.

1. select absence type:

2. It does not appear:

System details:

EHP7 FOR SAP ERP 6.0

SAP NETWEAVER 7.4

Do you have any ideas?

Regards

Philipp

Are you sure that browser is supported? Older ESS (which you appear to be on) is very picky about browsers and versions. You may have to switch mode/compatability settings.

By now I'm not sure if this Browser is supported.

I already tried different seetings without success.

I just found out the same thing with SRM. What I have read is that Firefox version 52 does not support Java anymore. The only solution we have so far is to downgrade Firefox to version 49.

Same problem here, even at NWBC login screen!

Affects all Webdynpro DropDown selection inputs, when using mouse click to select. It's still possible to select using keyboard altough.

Looks like the JS mouse onclick event is not being fired.

Firefox 52 ESR should be supported. Please check SAP Note 2441470. We are working on the same Problem.

    Hello!

I know this is quite old now, but did you solve this at the end? :)

    Hi Christopher,

From my point of view the problem can be fixed with a kernel update

    Note 2505204 (described in 2452731).

    We haven't implemented it yet.

Please try it out and let me know if it works :)
