Unable to change commodity code for an article in a site(field: MARC-STAWN)

Dear All,

We have a request from user to change commodity code of an article in sites of a country.

I tried updating in Logistics: DC view but the article is getting saved with a different commodity code.

Could you please let me know why system is not allowing to change the commodity code for these sites to a new value and in some cases a different value other than the one I entered is getting updated?

If a you enter a number 123 and SAP saves a number 456 then you should contact your ABAPers and analyze the root cause, which is probably caused by own coding.

In general the commodity codes have to exist in table T604 for the country in which your plant is. If the number is not there then you will receive an error message.

I posted this query thinking that this has something to do with standard functionality of SAP which I might not be aware of.

I will check with ABAPer too.
