Dear Experts,
I am having a very strange issue, where in an MTO scenario we have obtained a production order for a sale order (this sale order has WBS element assignment in account assignment). In the component overview of production order the components which has special stock indicator 2 (Project stock) has storage location as 0100, but for those materials the material master itself is not extended for this location. In MRP 2 view it has the location as 0110. I have checked the material master, BOM (Prod storage location is not there), Routing component assignment, work center no where we have the location as 0100.
Please let me know from where the sloc 0100 is getting copied to production order
Regards,
J.Balakrishnan
Hello
If there is a supply are assigned to the work center, the storage location will be copied from the supply area. In addition, it can also be maintained in the BOM.

Please see FAQ note 1808922 question 2, in case of special stock there is a special logic, for this it's enough that the storage location is existing at all, it don't has to be existing for the material.

Hi Sabine,
It seems to be correct. But i could see many relevant OSS notes related to this topic say 623082- tells about copying of storage location from supply area of work center and notes -583993,545645,546160.
In our case the component is subjected to project stock and we wont be having any storage location reference in a project, now how to check from where the storage location 0100 is getting picked for all project stock components? and how we can replicate this issue. Please suggest
Regards,
J.Balakrishnan
