Hello Everyone,
I have created a URL iView in the Portal to display a Web Intelligence report. But when I access it on the Portal, it displays the Report Page in the full page and does not show the Portal Header area.
If I try with some other sample NEWS URL, it is shown within the iFrame as embedded content within the Portal Content Area.
Is there a restriction that the BOE related content will be rendered in the full page only and it can't be displayed within Portal Content Area with Portal Header in place.
If anyone has any pointers, please share.
BR,
Anurag
Hi Rohit,
The browser document mode by default is set to IE=5 but after I launch the BO report iView, it gets automatically changed to IE=8.
Even, if I manually change the browser document mode back to IE=5, it just shifts the BO Application Server login page appearing at the center to the left hand side of the web browser.
I feel that this has something to do with the BO server in particular but not sure about it completely.
Has anyone also faced a similar issue.
BR,
Anurag

Hi Anurag,
Could you try setting the browser document mode to Quirks mode IE=5, IE=EmulateIE7.

Rohit

Hi Santarshi,
I followed the steps mentioned in the SAP Note on the new Portal (version = 7.5) by applying the new framework page (Ajax standards mode framework) to my User ID in the Master Rules Collection but still the URL iView for BO report is occupying the entire Portal page instead of getting displayed within the Portal Content Area with the Portal Header at the top.
Not getting a clue on this issue at the moment.
I checked for the Document Mode value as suggested in the SAP Note and it is being passed as 8 in both Old Portal and New Portal systems. There is no change in the rendering behavior of URL iView for BO report in both Old Portal & New Portal systems.
Attached is the screenshot for the document mode value being passed while launching the URl iView to access the BO report on Portal.
Please let me know if you have any workaround for this issue or else if you come across any solution for this issue. Also, please let me know if you need any additional information from my side on this issue.

Anurag

Hi Santarshi,
Thanks for your response.
I've gone through the SAP Note and it makes a lot of sense to me. I can now figure out on why I am facing an issue while launching the BI Report as an URL iView inside Portal as my Portal version is 7.02.
Fortunately, I've a latest Portal version available in one of the landscapes where I can try the option to choose the new framework page (Ajax standards mode framework) for launching the BI reports.
I will test on the newer portal version and will get back to you with my results later.
Hopefully, I won't encounter this issue there!!!

Hi Anurag
You can launch the BI reports within content area of the portal but for that you have to use "Ajax standards mode framework".
To make sure to portal run as Standards mode and also rendering the application correctly.
Follow the KBA # 2424773 - Display and Rendering issue in IE 11 in Portal
It will give you more clear explanation and understanding regarding the launching of BI reports.
