if we have A>b> C...where c is nav attr of B, and b is nav att of A..

And we have A and B both in cube, will i get A, B and C correctly displayed in my query

Affirmative.

Just be careful with you two Bs: one as a separate char and A__B as a nav attribute of A.

thanks everybody...so only when B not in the cube we need to do modeling for tran attrr...correct?

That's correct. If you just have A in the cube, and need C, then you need to model for the transitive attribute.
