Hi Perumal,

You can define multiple inspection types for an inspection lot origin in customizing and activate them in the inspection setup for the material.

The system chooses an active inspection type during inspection lot creation based on the following rules:

1. The inspection type is determined using a special rule. example: for inspection lot origin 03 from the order type.
2. If there is no special rule and the indicator Preferred inspection type is active, then the system use preferred inspection type for the corresponding inspection lot origin for inspection lot creation.

3. If the indicator Preferred inspection type is not active for any of the inspection types for the inspection lot origin, the system select the inspection type that was assigned to the inspection lot origin in Customizing as first varient.

If the selected inspection type is not active, no inspection lot is created.

in your case the first varient is inspection type 04 and Z04 is after that. Then system tries to use inspection type 04 which is not active in your material master. So, system does not create inspection lot. Either you need to define inspection type z04 as first varient (not recommended) or you need to put preferred inspection type active in inspection set up of material master for inspection type z04.

Also, You can skip this order by determining your own inspection type using the customer exit QAAT0001.
