FLP as a Single Point of Entry

Former Member

Hi Experts,

Need a UI Integration expert opinion from your side for a green field SAP S/4 HANA 1610 based Project. Our plan is to minimize the hardware/maintenance footprint by eliminating the SAP Portal usage in the project as we have all the business packages available either in WD ABAP or in SAP UI5.

We are starting SAP Implementation and the customer will be using the SAP S/4 HANA 1610 FP1 (Fiori 2.0) on premise system.

The Customer would like to have only one single entry point to access all the SAP/BI/BO related applications as well as the below modules.

The following SAP modules will be used.

  • ESS/MSS with OpenText Archival integration
  • SRM (Supplier Relationship Management)
  • CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
  • BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation)
  • Predictive Analysis
  • BI
  • SSM (Strategic Service Management)
  • PPM (Project Portfolio Management)
  • Mobility and Fiori
  • Kindly advice if we can make use of SAP Fiori Launchpad on S/4 HANA 1610 system alone to integrate the above modules without using the SAP Portal. Our plan is to minimize the hardware/maintenance footprint by eliminating the SAP Portal usage in the project as we have all the business packages available either in WD ABAP or in SAP UI5.

Is there any limitation that we can’t integrate any of the above modules in SAP Fiori Launchpad in S/4 HANA 1610 and what is the recommendation from SAP on the green field implementations based on S/4 1610?.

Do we need to use SAP Portal for SRM and CRM applications?. Our plan is to make use of the NWBC for HTML to consume the specific roles in SRM and CRM.

Appreciate your expert opinion on this.

    Thanks,
