I want apply a row filter in the List Report Properties to filter attributes by a specific date (e.g. modification date). Greather than of !

How can we set a filter expression for date type?

I click on the Row Filter and I choose the attribute I want from the left and I set the expression and value as well.

I know about PowerDesigner documentation : List Report Properties

I am familiar with the way the List Report filters work.

My question is about how set the value with the good format? YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS.

I tried many format without success!

In Powedesigner 16.6.2 the issue has been resolved.

The date format is month/date/year

For example, 2/12/2017 or 02/12/2017

Hmm, nice to see the fix, but why not use the local date format? That's what PD uses when I enter a value in a date-format property. For example, I enter Feb 2nd as 12/02/2017.

PD 16.6.2.1

The only one operator I can use for an attribute « Date » is operator « = ».

In the following situation. If I want display only the records with a Day ending with 0 (?0) in October 2009 at 10 hours I set the following Expression.

The result

nothing else work

This is the step we used:

1) Go to Model->List of report. Open a report's property.

2) In Row Filter tab, select Create Date. By default,

the Operator is =

and

the Expression is *

Click Content tab, you can see all objects' create date.

3) Go back to Row Filter tab, change filter using operator > and expression mm/dd/yyyy

Click Content tab. You will see correct result.

Row filter setting simply does string comparison.

It doesn't understand date format.

And it doesn't understand operator <, between, not between for data type such as Date.

It seem in PD 16.6.2.1 the issue has not been resolved

The date format month/date/year. For example, 2/12/2017 or 02/12/2017 does not work.

Open the Physical Model "Physical Data.pdm" under Graduate School folder

Go to Model => List of Table - Report Properties

Click Customize Columns and Filter

Select Creation Date and set operator to > 05/01/2009

Press OK

Nothing is filtered

Return to Customize Columns and Filter. Your criteria and the operator are erased.

In that place there is no Row Filter available.

You can import all columns to Excel. Then filter the entries.

Yes, at this place a Row filter is available

From Model=>Table=>Customize and column filter

We can set row filter in the List Report Properties to filter attributes. We have Column Creation Date, Modification Date, Operator, Expression.

To help you I included an image.
