Is infocube Qualified to be called a database
Hi Rahul,
strange question! The HANA RDBMS like any RDBMS normally holds raw data. This raw data, in the context of a modelling approach, is then refined, related to ohter data and ultimately forms an Infocube that represents a sepcific information model. If, for example you look at sales, you normaly have a variety of base tables like sales figures, product data, customer data... All this data would be combined in an Infocube which would thenallow you to answer questions like: What was my net sales in a specific country or with a specific customer.
Greetings
Markus
