Hello,

I work for a water utility. Currently, we have a functional location hierarchy that consists of nine levels. At level two, it breaks between Central System (our primary utility network) and Community Systems (several small satellite utility networks). So for example:

A water pipe in our Central System would have the following functional location:

[1] PL0- [2] CTRL- [3] WT- [4] C- [5] BURIED- [6] GEOE- [7] MN- [8] 7901-0000000001000109118 (Water Pressure Main)- [9] 1000109118 (Water Pressure Main)

A water pipe in our Lenah Run Community System has the following functional location:

[1] PL0- [2] LENA- [3] WT- [4] C- [5] BURIED- [6] GEOE- [7] MN- [8] 7901-0000000001000109118 (Water Pressure Main)- [9] 1000109118 (Water Pressure Main)

Note that the numbers in brackets above represent the level in our hierarchy. Note also that we use a 1:1 relationship for functional location and equipment at levels 8 & 9 (level 8 is the "equipment slot" and level 9 is the unique piece of equipment).

Recently, we connected the Lenah Run Community System to Central System. Now we need to mass move the equipment in the hierarchy from Lenah Run to the Central System. How do we go about doing this as a mass movement? Is it possible without using alternative labeling?

Thanks,

Alton
