Hi All,

We are using Crystal 2013. When exporting Report to Word document, I have the following issue:

  • Issue – Format doesn’t match Crystal report
  • Paragraph formats off
  • Indentation off
  • Issue – Paragraphs are in block format not continuous text
  • Issue – Not able to copy into email and maintain format
  • Can edit file; however, spacing doesn’t adjust well

Is there a way to change the "details" on RPT file that when exporting to RTF the details don't stay with frames in the document?

Crystal has always been rubbish at exporting to RTF or .doc. I never use it for the reasons you outline above.

If you want a neat txt layout always use PDF.

There are 3rd-party Crystal Reports tools (see list here) that can automate the process of populating MS Word template (a doc file with placeholders) with text, values, and table content from Crystal formulas.
That approach avoids limitations of direct export and allow users to edit the resulting documents
