Dear Experts,
we have some problems with other dimension filters in our elimination rules.
We would like to have an elimination rule for specific time periods Month 1-11.
We have in Dimension TIME a DIMLIST which is DY for months 1-11 and DM for month 12. We would like to use the DIMLIST in other dimension filter in our rule.
When I put in the field of other dimension filter TIME=DY I can validate and save the rule but the rule does not work anymore. When I put TIME=2016001 the rule works. But there is limitaion of 200 places so we can not enter all time periods in the filter. This is the idea of DIMLIST. Also the logic: TIME=DIMLIST.DY in other dimension filter does not work. When I try to validate the rule after enter this, we can not do anythink more and I have to start BPC new.
Do someone has an idea, how to use the DIMLIST in other dimension filter in business rules or how is the correct logic to enter it there.
Thanks and Regards
Daniel
Hello Daniel, Vadim, did you find a way to use dimension properties in the Other Dimensions Filter?

Why not to scope the time in script logic? Please provide details about your DM packages!

How can I scope the time in script logic for one of some elim business rules.
As you can see, we would like to add the TIME filter as a DIMLIST=DY in the Other Dimension Filter in the rule in the General tab. We are using the consolidation monitor for the consolidation so we are not using DM package for the consolidation.
Or is there other possibility to set the rule for specific months?
Thanks and regards
Daniel
