Assignment of Char in Update Rules - Master Data Attrib of...

Hey,

I have a question concerning Update Rules, and assigning Chars to different update methods.

I am trying to assign a Characteristic to the "Master Data Attrib of:" method, but I am unable to find values (the Info Object that the Characteristic is an attribute of) that this Characteristc is linked to. I have ensured that this Characteristic is an attribute of the Info Object in question.

Is there anything else I need to do to be able to update this Characteristic using Master Data?

Hi,

Make sure that the Values are comming for <b>"the Info Object "</b> in each record to be uploaded. And also Make sure that Master data is avaialble for <b>"the Info Object "</b>.

check if the attribute only textbox is selected in the InfoObject Attribute of the Master Data, Attribute only must not be checked

Attribute only is not checked for sure.

You have to select the infooject from were take the attribute, nothing more!

If that's the case, I am doing everything correctly, but there are still no values available for me to map the Char to the update method of Master Data.

Did you have the master data infoobject (and eventually its compound) in your infosource?

And the infoobject you want to fill is exactly the same as the attribute?

If so i con't understand why you don't see anything in the list!
