service configuration

Start transaction SICF and execute with parameters Hierarchy Type = Service, and Service Name = hrrcf_cand_reg.

Double-click on the hrrcf_cand_reg BSP service entry to display properties.

Change to the Logon Data tab, and go into Change mode.

Enable the ‘Use all Logon Procedures’ check-box option.

Configure logon for user NEW_USER, password xxxxxx, client 300, language EN.

Save changes.

Pop-up message appears saying that "Make repairs in foreign name space only if they are urgent"

Workbench request prompt. After giving a request, it gets saved as a repair.

My question is

how can we avoid a repair in the system? Are these changes not really flagged as repairs, or would they indeed be impacted by future upgrades? Do we need to create a custom namespace and copy these services to that namespace, or can we use the SAP Namespace without fear of repair impacts on future upgrades?

to set the logon credentials in the service, dont do this way.

create a exteral alias (pointing to the actual application) and set the user id pwd in external alias.

Hi,

You are trying to change a standard SAP node. It's not recommendable to change standard SAP stuff, unless you want to SPAU each time you install an update.

There are two solutions.

Copy the whole app or make an alias to it.
