CO-PA dump while uploading Texts

Former Member

Hello,

I’m trying to upload Texts for CO/PA InfoObjects.

The data is loaded into the PSA but ends with a dump:

GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED

ShortText

Field symbol has not yet been assigned.

What happened?

Error in ABAP application program.

The current ABAP program "CL_RSDMD_UPDATE_MASTER_DATA===CP" had to be

terminated because one of the

statements could not be executed.

This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.

…..

How to correct the error

You may able to find an interim solution to the problem

in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,

use the following search criteria:

-

"GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED" C

"CL_RSDMD_UPDATE_MASTER_DATA===CP" or "CL_RSDMD_UPDATE_MASTER_DATA===CM00E"

"_UPDATE_TEXTS_KERNL_T"

We are on BW 3.5 level 15.

Please Advice,

David

hi All,

Seems the Object you are trying to load are not fully active go to the object (Which ever you want to load data in) and make a dummy change like changing the long description and Activate the same , once done redo the changes and get the Description back to the old change and reactivate the OBJT again

Reactivate the Transformations and

the Concerned DTP and load it again.

Hope this solves the problem .

It worked for me several times

Hi David,

Check this OSS note: 597299.

I am pasting the contents of the note:

<u><b>Symptom</b></u>

One of the following terminations (dumps) occurs when you load or maintain master data:

Raise statement exception RAISE_EXCEPTION "INTERNAL_ERROR" in program "SAPLRSDGUTILITIES" in "COMPONENTS_GET". The main program was " SAPMSSY1".

MESSAGE_TYPE_X in program "CL_RSDMD_UPDATE_MASTER_DATA===CP" in method "_CHECK_DATA_PACKET". The main program was "GP<long GUID>".

<u><b>Other terms</b></u>

LRSDGUTILITIESF01, "CL_RSDMD_UPDATE_MASTER_DATA===CM02A", CL_RSDMD_UPDATE_MASTER_DATA===CM02A

<b><u>Reason and Prerequisites</u></b>

A characteristic involved is active, but uses attributes that are new or inactive.

The following characteristics are involved if you load or maintain the master data of a characteristic "M1":

The attributes of characteristic M1

The characteristics in the compounding of M1

<u><b>Solution</b></u>

Check all characteristics involved as follows:

Look at the tab pages for compounding and attributes in characteristics maintenance.

All characteristics displayed here have to be active. This is indicated with a colored (green) icon.

If this is not the case for a characteristic involved (a gray icon is displayed on one of the two tab pages), activate the characteristic involved. This activates the inactive dependent characteristics also.

Loading/maintaining master data should work again when you have checked/repaired all characteristics involved.

Bye

Hi Paolo,

The note you sent is not a BW note.

Are you sure its the correct one?

Thank you,

Hi Dinesh,

Finally there is no dump.

It seems like i have to pass every infoObject in the CO-PA and activate it again(although it is already activated). It solves the problem.

The new problem is that in the infoPackage the SPRAS is not available (i cant select a language) althout it is avilable in the DataSource and in RSA3.

Thank you,

David
