How to use acrual?

Hi Experts,

Can you please let me know step by step working process of accrual in sap business one?

Hi,

The accrual works for cost accounting system based. Its generally done through manual JE or recurring posting and you have to maintain two additional PL ledgers .

Initially dimensions can be set to view the PL reports based on dimension based on demands.

Now under cost accounting set the accrual type and the ledgers which are going to be impacted.Use this window to define and view accrual types used for cost accounting correction.In posting account column specify a financial posting account which are regularly used . The remaining two accounts are PL ledgers which need to be created for accrual type system.

Once you have defined based on the row right click and choose recurring posting and post your transaction or pass JE as per daily entries.

Based on this you can analyse the financial and cost accounting data regarding PL will be available at Cost Accounting Reconciliation Report

In posting account column specify a financial posting account which are regularly used. (Can you please give me the example of the account & How does it reflect in reporting?

This example illustrates how to record differences using accrual types.

In the example, a Vehicle costs Euro 9,000, and its legal life is 3 years (the monthly depreciation is Euro 250 in financial accounting), but in the company's point of view, the estimated useful life is 5 years (that is, the monthly depreciation is Euro 150 in cost accounting).

The current monthly posting is as follows:

credit 250 from Vehicle asset - acct code 120000

debit 250 from Vehicle depreciation expense - acct code 62000 (This is the regular account used by system for financial reporting)

For cost accounting postings, you need to run monthly recurring posting, or create a journal entry manually every month.

credit 150 from Vehicle depreciation Expense - acct code 62101 (additional ledger as i mentioned earlier)

debit 150 from Vehicle depreciation Expense- acct code 62102 (Interim account additional ledger)

Once you have defined the ledgers on accrual setup windows and then on the row right click and choose recurring posting and post your transaction or pass JE as per daily/monthly entries.

Now run Cost Accounting Reconciliation Report
