Text Elements in BEx

Can anyone explain me what these text elements are and how they are used. Any documents will be helpful.

Hi S N,

Text elements is a term useed for displayign generic information about a query along with the normal query data. For example: you can display things like the current user, the time data was last loaded into the underlying infoprovider, the filter & variable values set for the query, and many other such information items.

So if you want such information didsplayed on your query -SAP provides you with an easy way to do it, rather than going into coding.

My scenario is that the text elements keep dissappearing from the report when loaded and re-appear when the query is refreshed.

What kind of reports are you talking about - BeX or web base?

I do not understand what you mean when you say the text elements keep disappearing from the report "when loaded".

Are you saying that they appear once and then suddenly disappear?

hi nikhil,

They are web based reports and the text elements doesnt show up when the report is first loaded but the text elements re-appear when the report is refreshed.

what could be the cause for this strange behaviour?

Hi S N,

What kind of template are you using? does it have tabs in built. Who added the text elements in the template?

Trr using a new template from scratch and add your desired text elements there.

I could not figure out the requirement exactly.
