Enquiries about Crystal Report 2016 [Integration problem]

Former Member

Dear sir/madam,

The purpose for writing this email is requesting a solution on how to integrate Crystal Report 2016 into Visual Studio 2010.

Originally we have bought two licenses for Crystal report 2016 and planning to use visual studio 2010 to perform programming functions. However, no matter we installed the latest service packs, updates or full version of the Setup disk, we can only see Crystal Report .NET framework in Visual Studio. We have compared both of them, the .NET version is quite different with 2016.

What are we supposed to do in order to solve this Visual Studio Integration problem?

Not sure what you are asking, CR for VS is the runtime for Crystal Reports Designer 2011, 2013 and 2016.

The embedded CR designer that is in VS is not the same as the full build, this version is CR Basic and only used for simple report design.

Integration into VS, Runtime Downloads and licensing info is on this page:

First link to integrate into VS, all others are for redist purposes, do not install them on your PC with VS on it.
