Hi Hari,
Generally in process chains 1st we load "Masterdata", after completion of master data we do "change run". After that we load "Transactional data". In both master data and Transactional data we may have full update or delta update depending on the requirement.
Coming to failures in process chains
The process chain may fail with errors in "Master data" or it fails with errors in "transactional data".
Errors in Master data will be
1)Duplicate data records
2)Invalid characteristics
3)update mode R.
4)Lock issues
5)source system not available error
6)Data source replication error etc...will comes under master data.
Errors in Transactional data will be
1)SID error
2)Activation of ODS failure errors
3)Data source replication error
4)Lock issues
5)source system non available error
6)TRFC error etc....will comes under transactional data.
Based on the errors u have solve them ,reload it again and continue the process chain.
regards
kiran.
Hello 😊 Hari,
How r u ?
In Process Chains we could both Full or Delta loads. You have to analyze the error in SM37 and check for dumps in ST22. Mostly it depends on what sort of the error occured.

Dear Hari,
There is no restriction that "Process Chain" is meant only for full load or delta load. Based on your scenario, it can be used.
