Solution Monitoring - Regarding MTE

Former Member

Dear All,

We are not able to work on Solution Monitoring due to the following information.

I.e., No Properties can be maintained for the selected node (MTE).

Let me explain the procedure which we follow,

We are on the Process of Configuring SAP Solution Manager 4.0 – Solution Monitoring,

We have Created Host Data, Database Data, Systems (SMSY) and Settled RFC Connections in all the Satellite Systems and Created System Monitoring Solutions with Tcode Solution_Manager.

We are configuring all the Functionalities of Solution Monitoring with Operations Setup.

To achieve the above we activated Monitoring, Checked CCMS Connectivity etc, but when we are working with Alerts like Instance Availability Alerts, DB Administration Alerts and Database Performance Alerts under SAP System we get stuck with the following information i.e. No Properties can be maintained for the selected nodes (MTE)

We already applied latest support packages ST PI and ST A/PI in both Solution Manager and Satellite Systems.

Can anybody help me in this regards and throw more light about User defined alert monitoring.

Your reply will be highly appreciated

Regards,

Asif

Can you check your user for the RFC connection to the sattelite system first.

Perhaps this user has no permission to change the MTE properties

Sorry, I was on holiday for a long weekend

yes, this must be enough.

Perhaps you can send me a mail, this would be much faster.

If we solve the problem, we can put in the solution to this thread later.

Hi,

Make sure that you have been authorized in the trusting system (satellite system), if not pls define authorization object S_RFCACL, provided that the profile parameter auth/rfc_authority_check is set to 1 and also check your Connectivity with transaction SMT1.

Note 131387 - No authorization to log on as a trusted system

Note 204039 - Authorization check in trusted system then

Execute Tcode DSWP / Solution_Manager -- Satellite System -- Setup System Monitoring under Operations Setup -- Select Error Nodes like Last statistics check or Database files etc for msg “No Properties Can be maintained for the selected node (MTE)” – here you might have selected (marked) Active Options for that particular Nodes, so pls do deactivate those Alerts which causing MTE issue and finally saved it.

Note: Thumb role for Solution Monitoring in Solution Manager is based on our CCMS architecture in Satellite System.

Hope this is the answer for your Problem

Regards,

Asif
