Hi

Is there a way to distinguish between initial transmit and delta transmit in SAP Work Manager either in back end or in front end at code level?

Hi Vidyadhar,

In initial transmit, all the data will be downloaded to device.Where as in Delta sync, exchange mechanism will be implemented so the corresponding exchange classes will be triggered in back end and middle ware.

Vidyadhar,

In a SQL backend environment you can use the SAP Agentry Markup Language (SAML) to figure out if your complex table transmit is an initial sync or delta sync. There is an equivalent Java part of this too but you may need to figure out what your means of communication to the backend and do the proper "Google Search" on it.

For now check this out for data tag (Normally used when your backend is purely SQL or MSSQL or Oracle base):

https://help.sap.com/saphelp_smp303sdk/helpdata/en/7c/178a2c700610148faefa2b58b1f68f/content.htm

The data tag in Agentry means that the sql query will be replaced with a pre-defined data before the server runs the query in the backend. You may read on SAML of Agentry for more details or look inside all our Work Manager Complex table trigger to study how the rebuild is called in BAPI or in Java.

Best Regards,
