Hi,

there are several Transport Options for SAP HANA catalogue objects. You can use CTS+, HTA or the natively integrated Transport mechanism of HALM if you develop in XSC

For XSA, you can also use CTS+

What to use depends on your scenario / system landscape and if you have an ABAP system in place.

If you have an ABAP system in place where you can set up a transport landscape, CTS+ might be your preferred way.

If you develop SAP HANA exclusively used on ABAP, you can use HTA

Its quite difficult, to explain the options in only a few words – you can find them described in here https://archive.sap.com/documents/docs/DOC-60261 on page 40. In there, HTA is not mentions, only HTC. But HTA is for the same use case as HTC (so the last row). HTA is the successor of HTC.

You can find detailed information on the different transport scenarios and how to set them up in here: https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=448469096#HANA

Hope this helps a bit – let me know if you have questions

Karin

Hello,

to be more specific: we use HTA to transport HANA views, stored procedures etc. but that does not work for table definitions. In the transaction SCTS_HTA we can only select from the packages of the content section, not from the catalog.

Since the table definition cannot be created under the content packages we don't know how to transport, because in CTS its now visible either.
