Dear All,

when i am tring to connect SAP R/3 tru RFC it is throwing a following error" Unable to establish connection to R/3 system 172.20.6.100 (system=00, client=500) Troubleshooting tips:

Is the target system online?

Check the connection data (note that server names and groups are case-sensitive)

Tips for administrators (see the configuration guide for more details):

Does the user have the required authorizations in the target system?

Is the target system configured correctly in "etc/services"? "

Plz tell me what might be the error & how to solve this?

Thanks,

Nishu,

Log on to your XI-- SM59 --> R3 connections and try a Remote Log on and a Test Connection .

Is it working fine?

HI,

In the RFC adapter have you givn the following input correctly

Message Server: You can get this from transaction SMGW.

Message Server Service: You can get this from transaction SMGW.

and the login password for the SAP R/3 system

Please check if you can login to that R/3 system using the userid/password that you have specified here.

Hi All,

plz tell me what all authorisations should be there in the user SAP ID to call remote RFC in case some authorisations are missings, so that I can ask our client to provide us with all those authorisations.

Hi Nishu,

Check the below

1. Does system 172.20.6.100 (system=00, client=500) is

running.

2. Check the login details you gave , try to login into

r/3 system directly once with the login details you

have entered in SM59 .

Nishu,

How are you trying to connect to the R/3 system ? It seems the system you are trying to connect is not accessible.

Thanks

Nishu,

I would start by making sure the user you have specified in SM59 RFC Connection, has proper RFC authorizations. If the user is missing any authorizations, the system will generally throw this kind of error.
